I chose this clip because it shows a what a toxic mindset and abuse of power can do to a classroom setting. Her negative attitude brings out a hatred from the students. Matilda, the protagonist shows that anger that is built up from her family and teachers have a strong effect on people. Ms. Trunchball uses abusive language to be elevate herself and diminish her students self worth and esteem. This clip shows a exceptionally problematic teaching because teachers are meant to nurture students to be the best versions of who they can be. She belittles them with very little care and brings them down.

I chose this clip because it shows that sometimes you have to take risk and break everything down. In this film, the protagonist Deloris is being chased by criminals so she goes into hiding at church where she disguises as a nun. She then joins the choir which she soons takes over. The choir did not sound good, but after she took over, she broke down the choir and rebuilt them into a more cohesive and unified choir. This clip is an example of good teaching because it shows that no matter how bad the situation is, there is always a way around the problem. This shows that in order to turn something good you must break it down and rebuild from there.
